Jessica & Zachary: A Sweet Knox Farm Engagement Session

I am excited to share this sweet engagement session because not only is it at a gorgeous location with perfect lighting, but because the bride-to-be is my dear cousin! I decided I wanted to do a little something different with my Engagement Experience blog posts, so I am starting a new tradition of asking the betrothed a few questions about their relationship, which will add a little depth and intimacy to the images that I choose to share! So without further ado, meet Jessica & Zachary!

How long have you been dating?
Almost four years!

Tell me a little bit about how you met!
We met through mutual friends. I was over at my friend’s house one night, and we were waiting for her boyfriend to come home from work. We were drinking lots of wine and playing Just Dance when her boyfriend came home with a friend from work: Zach. I knew I liked him when, a few weeks later, were all got together again and I stayed up until 6:00 AM–which, as a girl who loves her sleep, I would NEVER do!–just so I could keep playing Apples to Apples with him.

What do you love most about him?
He’s the funniest person I’ve ever known. No contest. He makes me laugh every single day, without fail, and it’s just the best and happiest way to live. Also: he gives really good nicknames.

What do you love most about her?
Her quirky sense of humor, sweet dance moves, and tender heart.
If you could describe your relationship with only 3 adjectives, what would they be?
Goofy, cozy, and inseparable

Tell me a little bit about your Wedding plans!
We wanted a quintessential Maine wedding, which calls for an oceanfront venue! We’re getting married at French’s Point, which is a gorgeous estate that has a private beach. So many people are coming in from out of state, so we want to fill the wedding with touches of Maine’s best things: the rocky coastline, lobster, whoopie pies…lots of whoopie pies. They’re Zach’s favorite!

What are you most excited for when it comes to your Wedding?
I’m excited for dress shopping (of course!) and getting to experience our big day with Adyson, Zach’s daughter. The thing I’m most excited about, though, is seeing Zach waiting for me at the end of the aisle. I’m a lucky girl.

What are you most excited about in regards to your Wedding photography?
Years ago, I found a gorgeous profile shot of a bride on a beach. The clouds were brooding. The surf was crashing. It took my breath away. So now that I get to have a wedding on the coast, I’m looking forward to those kinds of pictures!

**And let me tell you, I CAN’T WAIT to be part of this “quintessential Maine wedding”, as it will also be my first trip to MAINE, and I can’t wait to see that gorgeous coast in person!!! **

I just love how they felt comfortable enough to show their playful sides!!

That light!!! I can only hope we have warm golden light like this for their Maine wedding!!

Congratulations Jessica & Zachary- I can’t wait to be part of your big day!
